Mr. Krehbiel is well-known for his creative thematic programming of music across many centuries with a particular love of the ancient and brand new. For the final concert of this season, he has chosen music written within the last ten years to highlight music our current culture is inspiring modern composers to create. Orpheus will present three states of being—LOVE, AWE, and ANGER—with music by Eriks Esenvalds, Ted Hearne, Cecilia McDowell, Jake Runestad, and other renowned, current composers. This will be a thrilling, evocative close to our anniversary season, and one not be to be missed.
